Join Our Cleveland Team: Design & Operations Coordinator
Transform houses into homes while supporting our mission behind the scenes.
Humble Design Cleveland is seeking a versatile team member to serve as both a creative designer and administrative support coordinator. This unique role combines the joy of creating welcoming homes for families emerging from homelessness with the essential operational work that keeps our mission moving forward.
What Makes This Role Special
This isn't just a job—it's two meaningful roles in one. You'll spend part of your time designing beautiful, personalized homes for our clients, and part of your time supporting our team with the administrative work that makes it all possible. It's perfect for someone who loves variety, thrives in a collaborative environment, and wants to make a direct impact on families' lives.
What You'll Do
Design Magic
As our designer, you'll create homes that reflect each family's unique story and dreams:
Meet directly with families (virtually and in person) to understand their wants, needs, and preferences
Measure rooms and create accurate floor plans that maximize each space
Design entire homes using donated treasures, transforming them into livable, welcoming spaces
Select items from our warehouse donations and work with partners, volunteers, and donors to create beautiful rooms
Use your artistic and creative skills to craft spaces that truly suit each client's needs
Guide and direct our amazing volunteers through the three-day decoration process
Serve as the primary contact for clients throughout their home transformation journey
Operations Support
Behind every beautiful home reveal is important administrative work that keeps our mission running smoothly:
Enter client and partner data into spreadsheets and Salesforce
Run reports and provide general office support to our leadership team
Build positive relationships with donors through phone calls and donation coordination
Assist with donation drop-offs and help maintain our clean, organized warehouse
Support data entry and administrative tasks that keep our programs effective
Team Collaboration
At Humble Cleveland, we're all hands on deck. You'll:
Work collaboratively with employees and volunteers to meet deadlines and exceed expectations
Jump in wherever the need is greatest—we move fast and support each other
Help create and maintain our warehouse as a welcoming space for volunteers and donors
Bring your willingness to roll up your sleeves and put in the work that changes lives for good
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
Have a genuine passion for our mission of ending homelessness through the power of home
Possess active listening skills and a problem-solving mindset
Show creativity and an eye for design that can work magic with donated materials
Work well under pressure and with tight deadlines (we transform three homes every week!)
Be comfortable working on your feet and lifting up to 40 pounds regularly
Be a team player with excellent communication skills
Have experience with Microsoft Office
Bonus points for Salesforce experience, but we can train the right person!
Schedule & Compensation
Position Details:
Hours: 32-40 hours per week
Pay: $18-20 per hour
Schedule: Flexible schedule to accommodate both design work and administrative needs
Location: In-person at our Cleveland warehouse and client homes
