about Humble Design

Humble Design serves individuals, families, and veterans emerging from homelessness by transforming empty dwellings into welcoming homes using donated furniture and household goods. Our warehouses are curated by design teams that personalize homes based on our clients’ needs and preferences. More than a makeover, it gives “home” a new meaning.

Humble Design started in Detroit in 2009. U-Haul signed on as the primary sponsor in 2016, offering the equipment, storage and national infrastructure to make expansion possible and targeted Chicago as the first expansion city in January 2017. CB2 came on day one as Humble Design Chicago’s city sponsor. In 2018 locations were opened in Seattle and San Diego, with a location in Cleveland in 2019, sponsored by Progressive Insurance.
